Teacher is a beneficiary, too
NFED facilitator sees improvement with adaptive eyeglassesMy name is David Awuni. I hail from Bawku and I am a farmer and a facilitator.
Presently (learners) can identify letters, words and also spell their own names. Right now we are on numerals and this is to help them control their marketing and daily income. After being able to identify figures the next stage will be to teach them how to put them together, make simple additions and arithmetic.
Three learners and I are beneficiaries. There is one lady here who is long sighted. She never used to see the board from her seat but since the inception of this thing she can read properly. Before the glasses there was a woman here who couldn't see well. She used to ask that then I will print deep and because of that, she delays and she is the last to finish.
But since we got the glasses, I don't face that problem again. Myself anytime I try to mark the register, I squint a lot but since I had the glasses I read easily. I was told it was short sided and thus should be used for reading alone. My other colleagues benefited in the same way. In fact it has helped us a lot the headaches are all gone. So we are grateful for these spectacles.
